How do I manually add a new patient

To manually add a patient select  Menu→Patients →Register Patient. This will load up the patient details form

You should enter the patient details on page 1 noting the following

  • You must enter the patient’s first name, surname and a form of contact (email and/or phone number) to be able to create an appointment
  • The email address is required. If the patient doesn’t have an email address please use a dummy one of the form firstname.lastname@likita.org
  • Once entered the email cannot be manually changed. To edit an email address for an existing patient please email admin@likita.org 
  • If the patient is a minor or will be contacted via a carer please select Yes in the dropdown “Is Dependent” and enter the contact email in the guardian’s email field. Leave the patient’s email blank
  • You can also enter a phone number, date of birth and select gender to complete the biodata for the patient

How do I search for a particular patient

You can search for any registered patient by using the filter at the top of the Patient List. You can search based on First Name, Surname, Patient Code(hospital ID), Gender and Date of Birth.

 

Select which filter you need to use and begin typing to filter the relevant results

Once you get to the result, you can click on the pencil icon to edit the patient details or the calendar icon to create an appointment for the selected patient.

How do I edit an existing patient

You can edit all data fields APART FROM the email address. Please click submit once you have finished editing. If you wish to change a patient email address please send an email to admin@likita.orgwith the following  information

  1. Patient name
  2. Existing email address
  3. New email address

 

 

 

 

What do I do if a patient has died

In the scenario where a patient has died  please undertake the following steps

  1. Go to the Patient List on Likita via  Menu –>Patients→ View Patients. Use the  Search function at the top of the page to search for the patient in question  
  2. Use the pencil icon 🖉 to open the Patient Detail Form
  3. Add the text “(Deceased)” to the deceased patient’s surname and click Submit
  4. If the Patient has any upcoming appointments please Cancel them (if the family are still accepting notifications)

If the family/guardians are no longer accepting notifications then email the patient’s name, email address and telephone number to admin@likita.org with the subject line “Deceased Patient(s) please remove appointments”. Any upcoming appointments will be cancelled without notification to the patient(s)
